Where are Teaching Clinics located?
The two main teaching clinics are at The Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne and Bendigo Health Care Group .

Am I eligible for treatment at a Teaching Clinic?
Adults
If you hold
Pensioner Concession Card issued by Centrelink
Pensioner Concession Card issued by Department of Veterans’ Affairs
Healthcare Card issued by Centrelink
Children
If children are under the age of 13. No concession cards are needed.
Young People
Young people under the age of 18 who hold, or whose parents hold a Healthcare Card or Pensioner Concession Card.
When does the Dental Teaching Clinic run?
The Semester dates are March to the last week of May and August to the last week of October.
The Dental Teaching Clinic does not run during University holidays and examination periods.
How long is the appointment?
Our Appointments take longer, up to 3 hours. Appointments generally run from 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 5pm Monday to Friday. The appointment time allocated depends on the treatment provided and student roster.

What is the cost of treatment at the Dental Teaching Clinic?

How do I make an appointment?
To make an appointment for the Teaching clinic at The Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne:
Phone between 8:30am and 4.30pm (Monday to Friday only) to make an appointment.
If you are suitable for treatment, you will receive an appointment or placed on the waiting list. The appointment will be for an examination only. No treatment will be provided at this appointment. After this appointment you will be added to a wait list.
How to change my appointment at the Teaching Clinic?
You must provide us with at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to change or cancel an appointment. If you miss more than two appointments, you may need to seek treatment at a local community dental clinic. You can be put on the general waiting list at RDHM.
