Smile Squad communication toolkit for schools

This toolkit is designed to support schools to share the great news about the Smile Squad free school dental program. Smile Squad is a Victorian State Government program that provides free dental care to all Victorian government primary and secondary schools students.

Smile Squad has a simple and effective philosophy – to eat well, drink well and clean well to achieve good and lasting oral health.

DHSV has developed downloadable resources and promotional material to help schools share Smile Squad messages with their families.

Sharing the messages in this campaign toolkit via school communications will help parents, carers and students understand the benefits of the program and what to expect when Smile Squad visits.

There are also some great tips and information designed to help students look after their oral health.

How to get involved

Help families get the most out of Smile Squad:

  1. Websites, newsletters and your school portal (e.g. Compass) – Let families know what they can expect when Smile Squad comes to visit. Make our suggested content your own by personalising it for your school community.
  2. Social media – Post about the program and let families know Smile Squad is visiting your school soon!
  3. Posters and brochures – Display the Smile Squad posters, or the brochures about the program.
