Top honour for DHSV CEO Dr Deborah Cole at AHRI Awards

07 December 2017

Dental Health Services Victoria’s CEO, Dr Deborah Cole, has been awarded the prestigious 2017 Lynda Gratton CEO Award at the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) Awards.

Dr Cole said it was a great honour to receive the Lynda Gratton Award.

“The award is testament to an extraordinary team at DHSV working with me in improving health outcomes and creating a better patient experience,” Dr Cole said.

Since being appointed CEO of DHSV in February 2011, Dr Cole has significantly improved public oral health care in Victoria by introducing new models of care that focus on the prevention of dental disease and providing more accessible, patient-centred and integrated services.

Since 2016, she has been the National Board Chair of the Australian Healthcare and Hospitals Association and is also a Board Director for the Hessel Care Foundation and HESTA.

In a bumper month of achievements, DHSV also took home the Government and Civic Leadership Award at the Multicultural Awards for Excellence for its refugee and asylum seeker dental tool, and the Safer Care Victoria compassionate care award at the Victorian Public Healthcare Awards for improving dental care for patients with special needs.
