Registrations are now open for the Public Oral Health Innovations Conference

Dental Health Services Victoria is extending an invitation to those involved in the public oral health system to register for the 2016 Public Oral Health Innovations Conference.

This year's theme is ‘Experience Matters’ and DHSV looks forward to sharing thinking and practice that is transforming the patient experience.

2015 Public Oral Health ConferenceThe event is spread over 2 days. Thursday 5 May features workshops across a number of locations culminating in the official conference opening party. The party will also be an opportunity to celebrate 20 years of serving the Victorian public for DHSV.

On Friday 6 May, the conference will be held at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, with media personality Tracy Bartram as our emcee.

The keynote speakers this year are:

  • Julie Kennedy Oehlert, VP Patient Experience, University of Arizona Medical Centre, USA
  • Alan Lilly, CEO Eastern Health, Melbourne

They will give insight to their strategies for enhancing the patient experience.

The program also includes a ‘Marketplace of Innovation’, where local and interstate presenters will showcase innovative public oral health practices that are transforming how we extend our reach and implement new models of care.

In the afternoon session Mary Crooks AO, CEO The Victorian Women’s Trust, will focus on our workplaces and how we can ensure a respectful environment for all our staff and patients. Then Corey Adams will bring the patient experience to life through his videos of patients sharing their experiences at The Northern Hospital.
