DHSV Public Oral Health Awards 2016

Finalists in the 2016 Public Oral Health Awards announced

Excitement is building as Dental Health Services Victoria (DHSV) today announced the finalists in the 2016 Public Oral Health Awards.

The Star of Public Dentistry Award recognises staff in the Victorian public dental sector that has gone above and beyond their roles to improve oral health. The finalists are:

  • Dr Martin Hall, North Richmond Community Health
  • Jeanette Healey, Swan Hill District Health
  • Gemma Kennedy, cohealth

The Oral Health Project of the Year Award recognises public oral health projects that have improved the oral health of the Victorian community. The finalists are:

  • Healthy Families, Healthy Smiles, Dental Health Services Victoria
  • Keeping Kids Smiling, Link Health and Community
  • Healthy South West, South West Primary Care Partnership

The Public Dental Clinic of the Year Award awards public dental health clinics and community services working to improve oral health in Victoria. The finalists are:

  • Link Health and Community
  • Ballarat Health Service
  • Carrington Health

The Community Oral Health Champion Award recognises individuals for their contribution to the Victorian public oral health sector, through a volunteer capacity or in partnership with DHSV staff. The finalists are:

  • Diana Brown, EACH
  • Brian McGuiness, North Richmond Community Health
  • Jacinta Lenehan, Southwest Healthcare

DHSV CEO Dr Deborah Cole congratulated the finalists. “We are extremely lucky to have such a high calibre of talent in Victoria,” said Dr Cole.

Winners will be announced at the DHSV Annual General Meeting on November 24.
