Celebrating NAIDOC week with Aboriginal short films

Dental Health Services Victoria hosted a range of Aboriginal short films as part of National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC) week 2013.

Aboriginal short films shown were

Monday, 8 July: The Djarn Djarns, Seminar Room C
Tuesday, 9 July: Green Bush, Seminar Room C
Wednesday, 10 July: Plains Empty, Seminar Room C
Thursday, 11 July: SA Black Thing, Seminar Room C
Friday, 12 July: "a surprise" in Seminar Room A


What is NAIDOC?

NAIDOC celebrations are held around Australia in July each year to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life.

This year NAIDOC celebrations were held from 7-14 July.
