Course support
Participants will be mentored throughout the course by a senior clinician with experience in their area of interest and/or their personal learning needs, and who has undertaken an orientation program provided by DHSV.
The course adopts a mentoring approach using a developmental model with one-to-one, group and e-mentoring models employed as appropriate to particular module outcomes and the needs of the learner.
A mentor/mentee matching activity will occur as part of the course orientation workshop. It is anticipated that one-to-one mentoring arrangements will involve monthly contact preferably in person, but may also utilise communication technology where distance is a factor.
An alumni program will be established for participants who have successfully completed the course. This will provide a forum for ongoing learning and development, knowledge transfer, and support for the continuation of projects. Members of the alumni group will be encouraged to present at regional forums and the annual DHSV Public Oral Health Innovations Conference. Feedback from alumni will be used to inform continuous improvement of the CLiPOHP course.
