Will I need to wear a retainer?

You will be fitted with retaining plates or wires after your braces are removed. Wear your retainer as instructed which may be all the time or part time depending on your individual requirements.

When the retainer is not in your mouth, it must be put in the box provided to avoid breakage. Always brush it clean first. Do not wrap your retainers in a tissue as this often results in them being lost broken or thrown away.

Keep your retainer clean by brushing it gently with a toothbrush and toothpaste. Do not put your retainer in hot water or in the dishwasher.
