Do I have to wear elastics?
If you have been given elastics, wear them as directed – they correct the bite through movements that are not able to be performed by the arch wires. The orthodontist will show you where to place them. Change them each day, if they break or are lost. Do not be concerned if they are accidentally swallowed.
