Smile Squad’s day out at the zoo
Face paint and fun activities kept children entertained at the Melbourne Zoo as they visited the Smile Squad vans for dental check-ups.
We had an unforgettable day at Zoos Victoria on Thursday 3 October! We were thrilled to welcome more than 130 kids to the Smile Squad vans for their dental check-ups.
While waiting, the eager children enjoyed games and fun oral health activities at our Population Health Team’s pop-up stalls in the M Pavilion.
We also gave out 625 oral health packs, each one containing a toothbrush, toothpaste, and a brochure packed with tips on how to eat, drink, and clean well – for life!
A huge thank you to all the families who came out for free dental checks. You made it a day to remember! A big shoutout to the Merri Health Smile Squad team for helping us treat so many smiling faces.
