DHSV to join the esteemed Parkville Local Health Service Network

Publish date:

From 1 July, DHSV will officially join a new Local Health Service Network that will work together to deliver better care.

The Victorian Government has announced that Dental Health Services Victoria (DHSV) will join the Parkville Network as part of the state’s new Local Health Service Networks (LHSNs), marking a significant step toward a more integrated healthcare system.

As a valued member of the Parkville Network, DHSV will strengthen collaboration with leading health institutions, including Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellness Service, The Royal Children’s Hospital, The Royal Melbourne Hospital, The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, and The Royal Women’s Hospital.

DHSV CEO Susan McKee welcomed the announcement, highlighting the benefits of this new partnership:

“Joining the Parkville Network is a fantastic opportunity for DHSV to share our expertise in value-based healthcare, build stronger partnerships, and ensure oral health is recognised as a vital part of overall health and wellbeing,” she said.

“The Network is about more than just streamlining acute care—it’s designed to improve patient experiences, reduce duplication across services, and better support our health workforce. This is a big step forward for our health system, and we’re excited to be part of this transformation.”

DHSV joined its Network partners in early February to begin planning how they can work together to deliver more integrated and connected care to Victorians.

The Parkville Network will commence operations on 1 July 2025.
